2. Energy ball recipe

Energy balls, protein balls, bliss balls... whatever you like to call them, there’s no denying that they’re great for a mid afternoon pick-me-up or when you just need a little something to get you to your next meal.

Our energy balls offer a healthier twist to conventional sugary treats, but let's not forget, they owe their sweetness to naturally sugary dates. While it's the "natural" kind, it's still sugar, so be mindful of this - especially if weight-loss is your goal.

Purition pumpkin spice energy balls

INGREDIENTS

  • 40g of Purition Pecan & Cinnamon
  • 1 cup pitted dates
  • 1 cup unsalted mixed nuts
  • 2 tablespoons melted coconut oil, nut milk or water

HOW TO MAKE

  • Place all dry ingredients in a food processor or blender. Pulse to preferred texture.
  • Add the coconut oil/nut milk/water - just enough to bring the mixture together.
  • Roll into balls and chill for a little while.
  • Keep in the fridge.

SWAPS & OPTIONAL EXTRAS

  • Add extra cinnamon and ground or fresh grated ginger for extra warmth & spice. Or for pumpkin spice energy balls; add some freshly grated or ground ginger, a little grated nutmeg and a pinch of ground cloves - with extra cinnamon if needed!
  • Once chilled, top with half a pecan nut or roll/ sprinkle with toasted chopped pecan nuts or dip in some 70% dark melted chocolate for an extra special treat.
  • If you want to keep them low sugar, simply leave the dates out. You might need to add a bit more coconut oil to bring the mixture together but it works perfectly!

3. Cauliflower & cinnamon smoothie recipe

Cauliflower in a smoothie? That's right! You might be thinking this sounds strange, but trust us on this one. Frozen cauliflower not only adds natural creaminess to your smoothie but additional nutrients too.

Cauliflower contains more vitamin C than oranges, as well as high levels of vitamins K & B6, folate, potassium and magnesium. So if you're looking for an easy way to get more vegetables into your day, this one's well worth a try!
