Purition has won two awards at an event dubbed ‘the UK’s toughest health food award’, the inaugural Nourish Awards 2018 created by Diana Murphy and recently held at Cheltenham Racecourse.

Purition received both a product Merit and the People’s Choice Award at the gala event, which is regarded as the newest and most inspiring celebration of healthy food in the UK. The awards were won in the categories of: High Protein and Sports Nutrition and the People’s Choice.

Earlier this year, in June, Purition was a finalist in the Best Online Business category of the Chamber of Commerce Awards in Shropshire.

The Nourish Awards aims to celebrate success by showcasing the new generation of health food companies within the U.K. health food industry. The awards are widely regarded as being among the toughest in the business to win, with judges including Deborah Meaden of Dragon’s Den fame.

Deborah Meaden “firmly believes you are what you eat” and commented “Clean eating has never been more important for personal health and wider indications for the planet. My position on Dragon’s Den means that I have a voice and should use it. I have often talked about the issue of clean eating to friends but my role in helping to judge the Nourish Awards means I can have the chance to support it publicly.”

The majority of categories are voted for by a panel of nutritionists, food technologists and health and wellness professionals, whilst The People’s Choice Award is voted for by members of the public.

“We are absolutely delighted to receive two awards at this year’s Nourish Awards – particularly a Merit for our new Dairy Free Vanilla, which is an incredible achievement for the Purition brand and for every member of our fantastic team. We are also extremely grateful to everyone who took the time to vote for us in the People’s Choice category, as we couldn’t have done it without the support of the customer,” declared Edward Taylor, Managing Director of Purition.

This year’s winners were presented with their awards by nutritionist and River Cottage food teacher, Naomi Devlin.
