British food fortnight – Tibberton CE primary school

Kids drawings of healthy smoothies.

Earlier this month, we teamed up with pupils at Tibberton CE Primary School to talk about British Food Fortnight and healthy eating.

As part of our visit to the school we got the children involved in making their own healthy, sugar-free smoothies and we had lots of fun.

We also launched a smoothie competition and over the last couple of weeks the children have been extremely busy designing their own delicious smoothie recipes.

From mango and coconut to rhubarb and papaya the 50 entries we received included almost every fruit combination possible – making for some very exotic and delicious smoothie recipes.

The Purition judging panel certainly had an extremely difficult job choosing a winner but we are delighted to announce that Year 5 pupil, Pip Bowen, was our overall smoothie competition winner with her Tropical Treat Smoothie. Well done Pip!

We hope you get chance to make it over half term and enjoy drinking it.
